Bentley Spotting in Verona, Italy

Spotted this Bentley creeping through the streets of Verona, Italy a few months back.

Quick camera phone pic before it disappears.

Here is Shmee reporting from the motor show on the Ghost Series II.

Hate to think what new Wraith owners are saying.

Subtle RRedesign

The Ghost has had a facelift.

This is the new Rolls-Royce Series II unveiled today at the Geneva Show.

Most of the body work has had 'light re sculpting' with what RR call "a tapered wake channel" behind old Eleanor's wings evoking "the sight of a jet's vapour trail, hinting at the car's dynamism".

I like it but I wonder how those headlamps would have looked with a 'double dip' evoking a Silver Shadow series lamp.

The new car offers the latest technological advances to Rolls-Royce's growing base of highly successful customers - "The captains of industry, entrepreneurs and successful businessmen and women who are the wealth and job creators of our economies - consolidating Ghost's position as the most popular car in the 200,000+ Euros class and a cornerstone of Rolls-Royce's success".

New optional 21' forged alloy wheels are now available.

In Rolls-Royce's words "Ghost Series II is the ultimate contemporary combination of luxury, technology and connectivity available to the successful entrepreneur on the move today. It is an oasis of calm in a busy connected world where he or she can do business in peace. It presents the driver an occupants with a comprehensive example of effortless Rolls-Royce connectivity, a network where communication between car, environment and driver help lower the pulse, ease the journey and delight the occupants."

My old car still does that for me...

The Ghost Series II is a significant car. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible

Here is Auto Express having a go with the 2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible.

I just checked on the Bentley Motors website - the model name is correct. It's not a GTC.

It is the Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible, not the expected Bentley Continental GTC V8 S.

They have also changed the name of the new Speed convertible version as well.

That is now called Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible.

So the GTC moniker is now only for the base convertible.

Interesting move after dropping the Continental part of the new Flying Spur when that was released.

Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner

There are 14 Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner right hand drive cars.

It's my favorite car.

When I was in London an owner invited me over to check out his family's Bentley collection.

It featured this.

Follow me on Instrgram here - all photos on there will be taken by me.

More photos of this car to follow.

Thanks you know who.

Speed Racer

This is a bit cool. Drug dealer chic.

Cocaine white with a lot of front. Speed racer.

It's a 2010 Bentley Continental GT speed up for auction on the bay of course.

It has skirts. Japanese shirts.

That's right, it's a Premier 4509 body kit.

And it has a lowering kit as well. 'No Limits' licence plate surround included.

The ad reads:

"Listing this unbelievable 2010 Bentley Continental GT Speed W12 Twin Turbo Auto 6spd with Quick shift and only 10k miles for a friend. This has to be one of the nicest and tastefully done Bentley gt coupes in the country!!

I will list the modifications that have been done to this stunning Bentley as follows:

- Premier 4509 carbon fiber body kit and wing
- 22" carbon fiber Savini wheels w/ Nitto tires
- Renn tech adjustable lowering module / car raises and lowers two inches with touch of button
- Full fabspeed one off custom downpipe, x pipe, mufflers and ECU tune upgrade
- 3M flat pearl wrap with smoked lights and gloss accents( this is an extremely well done wrap done at one of the best shops in the country) paint is flawless under wrap!!"

Glad he clarified that it's not his. Listing for a friend. Sure.

I like it. A good marketing tool for unexplained wealth inquires.

For the non-traditionally employed. Strong contacts in South America.

Get it here.

Fake

This one it NQR. Not quite right. It's on the spectrum.

There is definitely a syndrome showing itself with that grille.

Bloody Hell. Your mother was having fun when you were in the womb.

Are the Mercedes E class eyes?

It you are making a fake Bentley, please don't use fake Bentley Chrysler grille. That's fake on fake.

Fake squared. Double fake. But it's not a cool basketball move.

It's just a sad looking Sebring!.

The ad says:

"VERY UNSUAL OFFER, 2008 BENTLEY REPLICA BODY BUILT AND TITLED ON A 2002 CHRYSLER SEBRING CHASSIS"

It is indeed unusual. But the ad says 'un Sue al.' Hmmmm...

Buy it only to destroy here.

But really, just buy a real one, they are reasonably priced now. And better looking. And real.

Get this real one here.

Graffiti

Paint vandalism. I normally really do hate graffiti.

But as art sometimes it's ok. Adds character for sure.

Sometimes it's even quite compelling.

Here is a nice brown Bentley Continental Flying Spur taking advantage of it.

Get out the spray cans.

Pop on some Giovanni rims.

And you have cool photography.

This one seems to mix up the backdrop idea.

This one's the other way around. As posted before on Bentley Spotting here.

The wall, brother, not the bloody car....

Come summer time, I think I will photograph my Old Thing, The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow in a graffiti alley. It's a cool backdrop. I'll bring my bodyguard.

YoRRkville Wraith

Driving through 'tony' Yorkville in Toronto today I spot my first Wraith on the street.
My wife took this lousy shot through me:

So I parked and calmly walked back, camera in hand - Okay, Blackberry in hand...

Nice to finally see one in the wild as opposed to a dealership, showroom or car show.

We need some sunshine now though. Spring is slowly coming.

That made my day.
