W.O. Bentley at Brooklands

Check this photo out.

Yep, that's W.O. Bentley to the left, taking a stroll down a line of W.O. Bentleys at Brooklands, before the Double Twelve race.

He is certainly thinking about things!

Configure Yourself

I've been having a bit of fun with the new Rolls-Royce Motorcars' Wraith configurator on their website.

So far we've seen too much of this one:

So how about mono tone Sea Green with a single crème light coachline and 21" polished seven spoke alloys:

From a different angle here:

And the rear:

Subtle, quite what you'd see driving around Berkeley Square, London.

So how about the Rodeo Drive version:

Lazuli Blue/Jubilee Silver two tone with twin Fleet Blue coachlines and twenty inch seven spoke alloys.

Okay, so now the David Irvine version:

Ensign Red/Diamond Black two tone with a twin Gold Match coachline and a really nice set of twenty one inch Five spoke alloys.

Now that would look cool in Yorkville....

Give it a go:

The Bentley Boys in Trafalgar Square

Look what Ken spotted this past Friday in Trafalgar Square.

Two Mulliner Spec Mulsanne 'Official Crewe' cars, sporting the factory registration numbers 1200TU and what I assume to be 2000TU...

Ken Was Here

Kenjonbro's Trafalgar Square shots again. Updated - from the last couple of days.

A 2013 Phantom.

You've just got to love how these cars are just part of everyday traffic and not 'posing' on the likes of Rodeo Drive.

Look at the car in front of it (not the taxi)....

You missed that one Ken...
- Just kidding.

And here's another Phantom sporting a rather different two-tone colour break:

I can't say that I've ever seen the line end before the front wheel. It rises at the body contour below the side emblem. Quite clever.

Then a very late seventies Corniche DHC , unwashed :

Sorry, but I just can't get enough of these.

Not just RRs & Bs.

Wheels Car show Canberra

Today was Wheels Car show in Canberra, Australia.

It's a combined show of all the Car Clubs from the Territory.

Here is a video of the arrival.

The Rolls-Royce Owner Club was further away from the dunnys than last year, so no one got wet tyres.

As you would have seen from the video, there was not much space, when ended up me been parked in a slightly exposed area.

Certainly a lot of people took photos of the Bentley with yellow wheels. I actually touched them up yesterday.

I met a guy my age who was thinking about buying a Bentley. So I had to throw him my keys so he could experience driving one. It was fun.

I wasn't the only car with yellow wheels, this Cadillac chassis counts I think.

This 1908 35 HP Mercedes did not have yellow wheels, but it was very impressive. That's pre Benz.

But my favourite car of the show was this.

There is a W.O. Bentley is Canberra. It made my day.

From the guys who did the Harlem Shake in a Bentley comes this more standard affair.

Really good work Louis.

T Time Again

In Illinois...

A Caribbean blue 1973 Bentley T:

Great colour.

The same as my neighbour's Silver Shadow in Belfast 1976:

Anyway....

Very nice indeed.

Trafalgar Square Update

Well, our Honorary spotter Ken was there again today...

"Ohhh Canadda....." Lotsa Maple Leafs there...

Anyway a nice DHC Phantom:

He got some good ones:

A Conti Flying Spur the same colour:

A GTC:

And a newer one:

And some German car that they don't make any more:

Probably off to Jack Barclays to trade on a Mulliner spec Mulsanne.

JT1...?

Jimmy Tarbuck? "Ho Ho , Boom Boom...?"

Maybe not. What'd he be doing in Trafalgar Square?

Pablo's Phantom by Kenjonbro

Or is it Pablo's Pantom...?

It certainly ain't a Goodwood original.

Stunning nonetheless...

We have posted it before here:

But Ken (and many others) has seen it on the street. He had his camera, though.

UK designer Pablo Rabiella's somewhat interesting Phantom.

In the Phlesh, on the street.

This car cannot drive by unnoticed.

Call the design Police.

This Phantom wants to be noticed too, but in a somewhat modest way.

Standing out from the others is not a new thing with Rolls-Royce owners.
Here's a couple of Silver Wraiths strutting their stuff:

All spotted by (and credited to) Ken in Trafalgar Square.

(Posted by David Irvine - WOW!)
