I'll watch it sometime.

Bentley S3 Continental FHC by HJ Mulliner Park Ward

Got to check out this car 3 weeks ago in Melbourne.

Yeah it was cool.

I can totally see myself driving that!

Bentley Turbo R Engine Mods

Here is something you do not see every day.

A Bentley Turbo R with engine mods.

I have not been able to get any info on it, other than it has a larger turbo.

Come on mechanics give us a steer.

1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Limousine

Here is a slow paced video from Crewe and Mulliner Park Ward from 1985.

The start is boring - but when it cuts to the men in the factory it picks up.

You get to see a Phantom VI body being hand beaten into shape and a guy listening to the engine with a stethoscope.

Very analogue.

Bentley Bentayga SUV

Here is what Auto Express is reporting on the new Bentley Bentayga SUV.

Due on sale in 2016, with a price of around £140,000.

That makes it the same price as the GT V8, the cheapest Bentley made. We will see though.

XCAR Review the Bentley Continental V8 S

They call this 'The Best Bentley Yet'. Big call.

I'll have to get behind the wheel.

Bentley Racing with EXP2 at Brooklands in 1921

Bentley Racing is fun.

But it has to start somewhere.

And it starts here. The first Bentley to ever race.

It's chassis number EXP2. The second Bentley to ever be made.

In May 1921 Bentley achieved its first racing success with Frank Clement victorious at Brooklands driving EXP 2.

Quite a moment.

I'm looking forward to Bentley racing in Australia next month.

I was fortunate enough to be able to take a look at EXP2 at Crewe.

Here are some photos I took from the factory tour.

Here is the displayed info.

And the historic tax disk. Remember those?

There is a very special car parked next to it as well. More on that later.

Good luck Bentley Boys with all the racing this year.

Bentley Specials for the Royal Family of Brunei

It is exciting when more information about the Bentley Specials made for the Royal Family of Brunei comes up.

I'm sitting on a lot of info as well, that I'll get around to publishing in the future.

It is well know that the a Bentley Continental R 4-Door variant was made for Brunei.

It was Project Number 140 (P140) in the Mulliner styling department.

But here is something new to me.

It's a design sketch for a Bentley Continental 4 door limousine with high roof.

Check it out.

I think the high roof works really well with the proportion of the car and the extra length.

I'm not sure if any where made, but I hope that at least one was!

Does anyone know further info about this Bentley?

Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Meeting in 1967

Here is a blast from the past.

The Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Meeting in 1967.

They generally happen around August each year. I'll have to go along some day.

Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner in Miami

The Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner is the pinnacle SZ car made by Bentley.

It's the swan song. I'm a very big fan.

Only 56 cars were made in total and they have unique front and rear bumper bars and flared wheel arches.

They also have some pretty cool options that you could spec.

- Option: A second speedometer fitted in the rear compartment.
- Option: A wood or aluminium engine-turned facia and console.
- Option: Chrome sports wheels and door mirrors.
- Option: Matrix radiator grille (1998 Model Year).
- Option: Bonnet and wing vents.
- Option: A race number spot on the front doors.

Just how cool is a rear speedo. A race number spots on the doors.

So one was recently for sale in Miami.

As each car was unique, it's always interesting to see what was spec'd out with the car.

This one has the standard wire grille, not the matrix which is unusual.

It has wing vents, but not bonnet vents.

Chrome wheels where a yes.

As was a standard size rear window.

The exhaust is meaty. Maybe my Turbo R would look good with that.

And what about the interior!

It's great to see the aluminium engine-turned facia and console.

I think it looks amazing.

Much like a W.O Bentley.

That red start button is something else.

I'm a big fan.

And how is it like in the back seat?

Yes, it has the best option ever - the rear speedo!

I think I am going to have to retro fit on of these in my Turbo R.

They are great.

Not so much for middle passenger leg room, but a little straddle near hurt anyone in a short dress.

It is SCBZP25C4WCX66714 for the chassis cumber spotters.

That's a 420 BHP engine.

It was for sale at The Stables in Miami, but it's been sold.

Yes, I am a big fan.

Ghost Donuts.

Who said you can't in a Ghost?

Press play.

2015 Liqui-Moly Australia Bathurst 12 Hour

Yeah, I'm getting ready for this.

Very much looking forward to it.

Quite excited actually.

More info to come.

"Silver Shadow by Tyler Shields" Rolls-Royce Blow Up Art

I like art. I'm quite a modern art fan.

Even if it's car art that is bad like this.

But want destructive Rolls-Royce car art?

Well how about blowing up a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, well for art?

Tyler Shields does it here.

Here is the explanation about the art.

And after a little research, Team BentleySpotting found the car when it was for sale.

Don't worry the car was a heap, with hardly any interior!

I still like art.

Lance Dixon Bentley Melbourne

Last month when I drove down to Melbourne, I did stop off at Lance Dixon Bentley Melbourne to take a look at the stock.

I do like the Mulsanne in the window.

And the Speed8 photo on the wall looks cool. Yeah that's my yellow wheel reflection in the window.

Next time I'll have to go down when it's open!

Bentley Friday Facts

Here are the last 2 months on Bentley Motors Friday Facts.

Bentley Cars in the Wet

I drove through quite a large storm this week. There was a lot of water on the road.

I'm glad I did not end up like this!

Bentley Cars in the Dunes.

We used to sometimes get a little stuck when you hit the dunes in a Bentley.

Check this out.

But it is great fun off roading in a Bentley.

So that's why it is cool that the new Bentley Bentayga will do it with easy.

Here is the hot weather testing of the new Bentley SUV.

I think they will sell like hot cakes.

Here is the Bentley Press Conference at Detroit.

I so want the Mulsanne Speed to be in my garage.

Grand Trunk Road

Writer Steve Casimiro says, "Rupert Grey is making a run at The World's Most Interesting Man."

The World adventurer and photographer Grey's epic journey through India with his wife Jan in a 1936 Barker bodied 25/30 Rolls-Royce limousine will soon be available for all to see.

"India is another country. They do things differently there..."

Plying the Bramaputra river on a narrow boat:

Crossing through rivers:

With the wind in their faces:

Passing the battlements of Mahanasar Castle at dawn.

Then a long three week delay at Dhaka:

And causing a stir wherever they go....

Filmmaker Oliver McGarvey recorded the adventure and is piecing together his movie 'Grand Trunk Road'.

All they need is a little help with donations to complete the production, so McGarvey is requesting that we 'get involved' by going to his site :

"For each contribution you give there are unique and amazing prizes:

Just Add Another Quarter of a Litre

Here's an interesting customised 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow:

Debumpered....
Chopped  roof.....

Lack of chrome mouldings, different door mirrors and a set of alloys.

It does have very clean lines but I do wonder what a nice set of modern Phantom alloys would look like on it.

The car was built by Dan Fink Metalworks and then converted to RHD for a customer in Japan.

I'm not really a fan of such modifications but this one does look clean and pure.
But the piece de la résistance....

This:

A seven litre LS7 Corvette engine.
A little bit bigger than the original Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre.

Then add this:

The suspension from a C4 Corvette.

Wow!

This must have cost a lot more than a nut and bolt Silver Shadow restoration.
But is it worth it...?
For the money probably spent on this I'd settle for a few nice 'ordinary' unmodified cars instead, please.

"All please Rodd, thanks!"
