Ddaco Rolls-Royce Sculpture for sale
Yeah I'll have a Rolls-Royce please.
But I want a special one with special lovely pleasurable features.
I will call it the Octopidarium.
I want a green power engine. Make it the Garden of Eden, but in plastic. It doesn't need to go, but must have flowers coming out the front.
The engine is to have a fountain in the shape of a squat toilet of course. A working fountain please. Or maybe it's a bidet. In or out it does not matter really. That's the power right there. I'll have good foliage as well. Very fertile.
But those tenticles. I like those. I want 6 to be penises and 2 to be hands.
Music, well let's have a piano. Have one of the octopus hands fingering that.
And the other hand?
Well, have it reaching over, just about to grab a beast. Yeah. Next to the bongs.
The beast of the masked prostitute lying in the chaise is the back seat. That's right.
You can do that yeah? That's what I like I'm in my Rolls-Royce.
And make it a married octopus chauffeur grabbing the prostitute for more realism.
I forgot the boot. I want a wood panelled bar. Yeah that will do it. A couple of fridges as well. And a stereo.
For more power I also want a large palm tree growing out the front of the Garden of Eden engine bay please.
In typical Rolls-Royce and Bentley fashion the answer is always yes.
Just get it of EBay of course.
The piece is by the Spanish erotic artist Ddaco.
From the eBay discription "This piece of art reflects erotic sexual sensations in a XVIII Century Brothel. This sculpture was the star of the International Erotic Lisbon Show in 2005."
£50000 will get it here http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=251402921742
One Down
The official "factory" Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Limousine was actually coachbuilt for Rolls-Royce Motors by Robert Jankel Design.
It's believed that 84 examples of the "42-inch" stretch were completed, making it a pretty rare car.
So it's always exciting to spot one in the distance:

But take a closer look at the front left of the car...

This is a far from pristine example.
It's seems to have been involved in a fairly heavy collision.

Such a shame.
One down, 83 remaining...

From The Classifieds
Team Bentley Spotting is running a little late with From The Classifieds for this week...
Blame a little too much of the season's festivities.
So while this 1966 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is advertised in the January 2014 edition of Classic & Sports Car magazine, the dealer's website indicates it is already been sold to a lucky buyer.

But lets take a closer look anyway...

It's painted in astral blue with blue leather piped blue.
And has the wonderful "chppendale dash" found on the early cars.

But this isn't just one of the 499 early cars.
It's chassis SRH01020...
SBH01001, a Bentley T, is the first of the Silver Shadow cars. That car and the subsequent 10 cars were used by Rolls-Royce Motors for promotional purposes.
This suggests that SRH01020 is one of the first 10 customer cars.
So it's a very early car...

I like it.
It was advertised at GBP 14,995 - I hope the new owner enjoys it.
Thanks to rrsilvershadow.com for chassis numbers.

Modern Car '13-5
For those of you not receiving the RROC Modern Car Society's 'Modern Car' magazine, here is one of the articles in the latest edition.
I was so 'chuffed' to see this:

First of all, one of Illinois' Park-Ward Motors proprietor Rodd Sala's cars is on the front cover.
Then the shocker...
My old photos in print:

I took those shots around 35 years ago.
Then we lead into kenjonbro's current photos:

My shots can all be found on this Bentley Spotting site.
All those years ago my friends thought I was mad taking all those 200 or so RR&B photos.
Maybe they were right but I don't care. I'm so glad I did it....
I'm glad to share.
Ken Brown's are here:
Do note the fact that there are still Silver Shadows and Silver Clouds wafting around.
The equivalent of me spotting cars like this back in 1980:
