The Ghost has had a facelift.
This is the new Rolls-Royce Series II unveiled today at the Geneva Show.
Most of the body work has had 'light re sculpting' with what RR call "a tapered wake channel" behind old Eleanor's wings evoking "the sight of a jet's vapour trail, hinting at the car's dynamism".
I like it but I wonder how those headlamps would have looked with a 'double dip' evoking a Silver Shadow series lamp.
The new car offers the latest technological advances to Rolls-Royce's growing base of highly successful customers - "The captains of industry, entrepreneurs and successful businessmen and women who are the wealth and job creators of our economies - consolidating Ghost's position as the most popular car in the 200,000+ Euros class and a cornerstone of Rolls-Royce's success".
New optional 21' forged alloy wheels are now available.
In Rolls-Royce's words "Ghost Series II is the ultimate contemporary combination of luxury, technology and connectivity available to the successful entrepreneur on the move today. It is an oasis of calm in a busy connected world where he or she can do business in peace. It presents the driver an occupants with a comprehensive example of effortless Rolls-Royce connectivity, a network where communication between car, environment and driver help lower the pulse, ease the journey and delight the occupants."
My old car still does that for me...
The Ghost Series II is a significant car. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
