1900TU

Yes, the official Bentley Factory number plate.

It's been used by Crewe for years.

Yeah, years....

Now it's officially my own Ontario registration on the new 'Old Thing'.

I can't use the U.K. one on the road, but it will go on at shows.

So this will have to do.

I still have my '1800TU' plates - they are for my next Rolls-Royce (years away...)

Camargues, Up Close and Personal

Last week I took the time to crawl over TWO Camargues. An early one and a late one.
I love these cars...

The late car is awaiting the centre caps, okay...

Here are my photos.
Enough said.

Huh...?

I'm Blue.

I fell in love with this Caribbean Silver Wraith II this past week.

The chrome alloys work on this 'SY' car soooo well...

Not politally correct for the year, but they look fantastic!
Ok, Rodd, add some Lucas Square Eight foglamps to finish the 'air dam' look.

It's on my 'next (one at a time, Irvine) list' after a Camargue.

Just like the Bburago model.

Wait for it to be listed on Ebay...

Regency Bronze Bentley T to Toronto

Well, we made it with no issues, other than a hold up at Canada Customs - a bit of miscommunication.
Resolved eventually.

Here she is posing this morning outside the Toronto Bentley dealer.

I set off very early Friday morning for a long drive .

After a week of mucking about to make this already nice car a David Irvine Nice Car.

Just me being anal.

Rodd Sala took it with stride and let me run about like a kid in a candy store.....

The 'new' Old Thing' is just lovely.

I drove her all week and took loads of photos.

Taking photos in very strange places....

Until security chased me away....

Now, if this was an 'S' Type Bentley there would have been an S in front of the Cary Bank. "Scary...."

TCary.

But this is scary.
I took this shot as one of Rodd's guys went off to gas her up.
Just a fluke Blackberry Camera photo.

Now here's the Scary part.
This is a shot I took in London in 1983 beside Regent Park. A Regency Bronze 'SY' car with a brown Everflex roof.

"Deja Vu, all over again..."

Here are some more Regency Bronze 'SY' cars from 1981. It was a popular colour back then.

A Silver Wraith II.

A Silver Shadow II.

And an FHC Corniche.

And let's pretend this is my T parked in front of the brand new Silver Spur outside Jack Barclay's in Berkeley Square in 1981.

This old girl's now in the best place she has ever been....

Welcome to Toronto!

Thanks to my dear, dear friend Rodd Sala and his staff for putting up with a very crazy Canadian Northern Irishman all week. They all think I'm obsessed......
And we drank LOTS of coffee.

The Garden of Wraith - for sale?

"The Garden of Wraith" is a video by Tax The Rich which features an English country house and gardens, a Rolls-Royce Wraith and lots and lots of power-slides.

What's interesting is that at 1:24 in the clip, the Wraith changes from a car with chrome radiator grille to a car with a very distinctive blacked out grille. It's only for a few seconds, but quite noticeable,
before the video reverts to the car with the chrome radiator grille once again.

Here are some frames showing the two cars, with first up, the car featuring in most of the video:

Next, the car with blacked out radiator grille which is shown for just a few short seconds:

The full video can be found here if you want to see more: http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2014/10/the-garden-of-wraith-by-rolls-royce.html

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London are now retailing a similar (some might speculate identical?) specification car to the second one.

Here are some photos of it:

Is this the second of the cars featured in the Tax The Rich video?

Team Bentley Spotting thinks there is a pretty high chance that it is...
