RRed Immunity.

An interesting "Tinsel Red" Phantom spotted by ErikG_NL on autogespot in London today:

Rolls-Royce Phantom 1

Sorry, I cannot tell you where the registration is from....

Rolls-Royce Phantom 2

It is cool though.

Rolls-Royce Phantom 3

Rolls-Royce Phantom 5

How does a traffic warden write a ticket for that number plate?

This car is immune to parking tickets....

Rolls-Royce Phantom 6

And having  'Googled' "London Traffic Warden Rolls-Royce" I came upon this:

"The garish Roller that would have Mssrs Rolls and Royce spinning in their graves: Middle Eastern owner imports new contender for London's ugliest car"

'Dunno about that..

The same car.

Rolls- Royce Silver Wing Nassau Landaulette

The Rolls-Royce Silver Wing was a landaulette conversion to the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Silver Spur by Hooper-Crailville.

Only two cars were ever completed and Team Bentley Spotting has previously posted about them:

During recent years, the silversand example without rear wheel spats has been seen most often...

Back in October 2012, the website autojunk.nl also posted some photos...

This is the same car as featured in our August 2008 post, but now finished in a two-tone paint scheme and fitted with US specification quad rectangular headlights.

It also has chrome alloy wheels with wideband white wall tyres...

It really does look quite different...

And it has gained a new name to reflect this...

Its now the Rolls-Royce Silver Wing Nassau Landaulette.

Thanks to autojunk.nl and autogespot.com for the photos.

[Another] One Down

It's always upsetting to see a wrecked Rolls-Royce or Bentley...

Even more so when they are rare models.

Just a few days ago, Team Bentley Spotting posted about a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Limousine with significant frontal damage after a collosion.

And now we have a Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner which has met with a similarly unfortunate fate.

It looks okay from the front...

But it has been hit pretty hard at the back...

Not a pretty sight...

What is especially upsetting is that it appears to be a formerly immaculate example that was regulary "spotted" in Mayfair, London...

And a low mileage car too...

Such a shame.

Breitling Art

I had to find that poster....

Good for 'Google!' I found it.
Here's the Breitling poster spotted in that Kuala Lumpur showroom yesterday:

Very cool.
I love that image. I want it for my wall....

And some more from foversta@PuristSPro at the Breitling Paris Boutique party:

The aeronautical / automotive theme indeed...

Bentley Spotting in Kuala Lumpur

Today I'm holidaying in Kuala Lumpur.

Out shopping of course, and probably the most high end shopping centre is called The Pavilion.  It's in Bukit Bintang, and a must for a KL trip.

It's also a nice place to do a bit of Bentley Spotting.

Here is a Conti FS parked just down the road from the entrance.

I'm pretty sure the yellow badge next to the number plate indicates it's a Dato's car, a person who had been knighted by the Sultan.

Lots of road works and construction is going on in KL as they are building a new train line above ground.

Now waiting for the traffic lights a Conti FS Speed went past.

I do like the Speed version.

The trim around the lights make it better.

Then inside the shopping centre I walked past this.

Yep it's the Breitling store.

They had two displays.

And the other.

Then I ended up at the main car valet drop off point.

Another Conti FS Speed was parked.

They are my favorite wheels in the Conti range. Actually maybe the ISR wheels. Can't decide.

But the real reason why I went to the Pavilion?

Because of this shop and the end of the valet drop off point.

Yep, it's Bentley Kuala Lumpur.

It does look nice.

They simply had one car on display.

It's a W12 Speed.

The next room was the reception.

It was a nice day out shopping.

If I had a Bentley Turbo R station wagon or estate car like the Sultan of Johor that would have been better.

Oh and another thing. Shoes. Maserati had its own shop at centre selling shoes. At the Puma store you could buy Ferrari shoes, BMW shoes, Mini shoes and Mercedes-Benz AMG shoes.

Now that Bentley is back into racing, I'd like a pair of Bentley shoes please.

Can any one help me?

Fate Will Have It

Oh, err....

Not sure about this Ghost's number plate...

Rolls-Royce Ghost 2

It's fate.

Late December Shots by Kenjonbro

Kenjonbro's last 2013 shots from the Motorway overpass on Sunday:

A 1934 Bentley - only in the U.K. could a car like this be out in late December.

Coachbuilder anyone ?

Dare I suggest Mulliner....? Please correct me in the 'comments' section.

And a self driving GT the day before:

Happy New Year!

We at Bentley Spotting wish you all a happy and prosperous 2014.
(I actually have seven and a half hours to go here....)

May this be the year you  finally get that Crewe or Goodwood car you have been yearning for (if you have not already done so).

Here is the January shot of the official Bentley Motors 2014 calendar:

One Last Spot for 2013

Just spotted this on my late afternoon walk in our minus eight degrees Celsius Toronto weather.
December 31st 2013.

My last 'spot' for 2013 - a late nineties Silver Spirit which really should not be out on a day like this...
