Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Race Meeting 2013

I'm a little slow with posting this one, it's from August.

The Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Race Meeting 2013.

I so want to go to this event one year.

Thanks to Roy Cousins for the videos.

Bentley 8 Litre Saloon on the block

Here is video of the RM Auction of a 1932 Bentley 8 Litre Saloon by Arthur Mulliner.

I'd drive it for sure.

Clay Models Anyone? Just print it in 3D please.

Here is a interesting quick look at how Bentley Motors used 3D printing, or rapid prototyping to create scalable parts.

I so want a 3D printer for my birthday.

A little different from 20 years ago when Bentley did it like this.

West Coast Customs get creative.

If you have 45 mins to spare, here is the West Coast Customs shop customising a Conti GT for the owner of Monster Cables.

Quite an interesting project.

Chrome Red Rolls-Royce Phantom in London

Here is a Chrome Red Rolls-Royce Phantom in London.

Let Shmee150 show us around.

And the car made the Daily Mail as "new contender for London's ugliest car". Check it out here.

From The Classifieds

From The Classifieds featured car for this week is a 1951 Bentley Mk VI being offered at auction on 9th November.

(Sort of) Live from London

Yesterday in 'The Square' by Kenjonbro.
Bentleys in their natural habitat. London traffic, Trafalgar Square.

A Mulsanne:

A Continental Flying Spur:

Another Mulsanne:

Another 'Conti' Flying Spur:

Brooklands....
Devilishly nice.

A 'Conti' GTC:

And the all new Flying Spur (sans the Continental moniker) ...

We will throw in a Turbo R spotted earlier on in the past week on the Motorway:

And a Corniche or Silver Shadow Coupe in the rain off for the rest of a restoration - not good to get wet....

Annnnnnd, A Motorway pummeling Arnage:

Epic RRoad Trip

I needed a bigger Silver Shadow fix.
Owning one just isn't enough, so me and the Old Girl (my Silver Shadow, not my wife) went off for a visit to Park-Ward Motors in Cary, Illinois to mingle with the Shadows....

A one thousand kilometre drive from Toronto.

Mostly in heavy rain but we finally got there unscathed - but dirty :

I loooove hanging out at his place.

How couldn't you?

Eye candy.

From both sides.

Even a certain SY derivative with my name on it:

But my favourite, the factory veloured Honey Gold T:

And from what I have learnt, this car is even quieter to drive as the cloth acts as a sound absorber.

I really do like this one and spent an alarming amount of time just sitting in it taking in the ambiance...

I was finally dragged out of the car and reminded that I had to give mine a good wash. So here she is all clean and shiny again:

Yeah, I know, I'm crazy.

Worth the long drive and ga$ $top$.

From The Classifieds

This week's From The Classifieds features a Bentley Continental Supersports.

With it's more aggressive styling, including most noticeably the large front air intakes, and 200 MPH plus top speed, the Supersports has always been my favourite of the first generation Continentals made from 2005-2011.

It was first unvelied at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and is the first Bentley able to run on both petrol and biofuel (ethanol). The dual fuel capability had no impact upon performance with the 621BHP and 590 lb ft torque of the 6.0 litre W12 engine powering the Supersports to a top speed of 204 mph and 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds.

This 2010 car is finished in quartzite grey with beluga leather and alcantara and has the four seat option.

It has just one owner from new, full Bentley Service History and having covered 66,870 miles it is one of the highest mileage examples I've seen offered for sale.

The GBP 69,990 asking price also makes it one of the cheapest examples currently available.
