Derek Bell has won Le Mans five times and also consulted with Team Bentley on before there win in the Speed 8.

Mansory Vitesse Rosé

Hello Ladies.

Seeing lovely ladies driving around at the wheel of a hot Bentleys is always nice to look at.

Especially if they have added their own style to the car.

So how about this one!



It is called the Mansory Vitesse Rosé



A velocity flower. How nice.



It is based on the Bentley Continental GT Speed.



Mansory add their own body kit.



As well as the distinctive colour.



There is also carbon fibre all over the place.



Now how about this interior!



The colour would go with a lot of handbags.



The stitching is very nice.



It is all in the details.



And the accessories. Pink bits on the engine. Where's the dip stick?



It's a great car.



It is a case of being so ridiculous that it works. I totally would accept a lift in it!

Abandonded Camargue

When the Rolls-Royce Camargue came out in 1975 it was the most expensive production car in the world.

Here is a press photo from Crewe displaying the standard 1800 TU number plates.



So what is happening a bit over 30 years later?

Well in Georgetown, ON Canada, just west of Toronto one has simply been abandoned! That is right, just left behind.



Now it's on ebay here.



The ad is simple and straight to the point "1976 Rolls-Royce Camargue 2 Door, 65 865 miles, Runs, Interior and body need work, Picked up as an abandonded vehicle, no one claimed it. Now have Legal title. Only serious inquiries."



It is not really a car you would forget about. But maybe.



Could have been a bit of Alzheimer's.

Mutec Rolls Royce Phantom EWB Ballistic Test

In May I posted this great video of the Mutec Rolls Royce Phantom EWB Ballistic Test.

So why am I reposting it? Well last week it became a bit of a hit on the internet. So much of a hit in fact that now over 200,000 people have seen it!

I was a little shocked when Youtube wants me to place ads on the video so they and I can made money off it.

What is more surprising is the top websites that have posted the video.

www.pistonheads.com
www.jalopnik.com

and even some random Vietnamese site where 25000 people have seen it called dantri.com.vn

Nice. I so changed the title of the video so that people would see www.bentleyspotting.com Self promotion of course!.

Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner

It can't be. Oh yes it can!

This is a Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner.



Take a look at the top Mulliner additions.



The rounded bumper bars with mesh inserts and driving lights, and quite rare chrome surrounds of the headlights.



Larger track wheels with flared wheel arches.



Take a look at the rear window.



Yep, it is a Hooper style small rear window.



From the bumper bars you would not think that this body shape came out 18 years before this car was made. Thoroughly modern.



The Bentley Turbo RT was the Bentley to bring back the matrix grille as a symbol of sheer power of the car.



And this one was the Mulliner side vents with mesh.



As well as the bonnet vents with mesh.

Now to the interior. This car has been specified with wood, not the machine turned brushed aluminium.



Wood and two tone leather steering wheel. Quite unique.



The rear seats has of course picnic tables.



And one of the most fabulous Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner additions, a rear speedometre for back seat drivers.



The wood theme continues with the door panels.



Now the name plate. It states a Mulliner commission for Eric Brauss. A quick google of Eric Brauss leads us to a property developer who 'was born and raised in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1970. In 1990, Mr. Brauss moved to Dallas, Texas to tap in to its entrepreneurial real estate opportunities to ultimately create a vast real estate portfolio through determination and his word.'



Been German may explain why in another article from 2004 here it states that 'Eric and Christine Brauss own three Maybachs -- his, hers, and a stretch version for evenings and weekends.'

Sorry Eric, I prefer your old Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner.



So if you want it, it is currently for sale at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville, California. The price is $115,000, for this one very special car!



There has been discussion that of the 50 or possibly 55 Bentley Turbo RT cars made only 18 or so were Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner cars, and are so distinctive that some consider them to be their own special model. Apparently only 11 were made in RHD and about 7 more in LHD. Send in more information if you have it!
