Streets of London

Here we have some more of Juergen's photos...

These are some street photos from a visit to London in the early nineties.

First up, a 1962 Bentley S2, chassis #B300DW:

A quick google finds that this car was offered at auction by Coys of Kensington at their Classic Cars sale in Chiswick, London on 11th May 1995.

Here is an excerpt of the catalogue description:

The S2 on offer today has had just two owners from new. The first, the chairman of a Sussex based Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealership, parted with it in 1977 During the second and current owner's 18 year tenure the car has been regularly serviced and maintained; in fact a service invoice is available dated April 1995 from Jack Barclay for approximately GBP2,000.

This splendid Bentley is finished in Smoke Green over Sage Green with matching green leather upholstery. With the car are an Mot certificate expiring in April 1996 the V5 registration document, invoices for service work and an original instruction and maintenance handbook. Having remained at similar price levels for almost twenty years now, these S series Bentleys and Rolls-Royce Silver Clouds seem ever more to represent superb value.

It was guided at GBP 12-14,000 but failed to find a buyer.

Next up we have a 1982 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, chassis #CCH06244.:

And next, a Corniche Convertible:

A rather nice Camargue:

And a magnificent Bentley S3 Continental Convertible by Mulliner Park Ward:

Next, a Bentley S3:

A Silver Shadow, parked on Berkeley Square by the looks of it:

And a lovely R-type:

Thanks to Juergen for these wonderful London street-scene photos.
