Then And Now

Team Bentley Spotting is gradually working through a big box of Rolls-Royce & Bentley photos sent to us by our friend Juergen in in Germany...
 
And here are a few more of them, showing a 1953 Bentley R-type, chassis # B409SP, painted in black over maroon..
 
At the time of the photos, in the early 90s, it was looking rather tired...
 
 
 
 
But a quick search of the web finds an old "for sale" advert and some more photos...
 
 
 
 
 
 
  
 
Great to see it fully restored! It definitiely looks much sharper...

Originally purchased by The Newcastle Breweries Ltd Company for there then Chairman in 1953.

Original Build Sheets and work instructions are also available along with a copy of the sale invoice.

The car comes with a full set of tools including the original jack etc.

There have been 3 previous owners, During the time from 2003 to 2009 the Bentley was totally restored.

Recent work carried out includes Front Brakes, New master cylinder, New Clutch Fitted.

Body No B6029

Engine No B454S

The Bentley has only covered 90700 miles from new.

There are previous Mot's back to 1972, the car manual is present.
