Getting Old
I love it when I come across cars that I spotted way back in the late 'seventies and early 'eighties that are still around today. Usually just Silver Shadows and Camargues, but here's something really old.
I have just discovered that this rather splendid old 1927 Phantom I photographed (35mm film) way back in 1983 parked on a street in London is part of a wedding hire fleet called 'Golddrive Chauffeur Services'.
The plate is not visible on their website.
But another shot reveals that it IS that very car. 'YU8487'.
To see a car like this parked on the streets when I saw it in 1983 is like seeing a 1960's car today.
Never mind the car, this makes ME feel old....
