So here they are now.
As I thought they would be - Three only, now priceless, and all over the news...
Good P.R. for Rolls-Royce.
Three bespoke Phantom DHCs very specially badged for the occasion.
The three Phantom Series II DHCs (Drophead Coupés, okay), each appropriately finished in glorious English White, silently conveyed the lovely and talented Jessie J:
(She photographs so well...)
Tinie Tempah:
And Taio Cruz:
(Sorry for the small shot - it was all I could dig up)
Such a nice girl...
Anyway, the cars....
They were driven by three specially trained Rolls-Royce employees and crossed the auditorium with majestic grace, before the stars were revealed as each convertible roof gracefully descended.
They sported newly-designed badges for the first time in the company's 108‑year history. The new badges, designed by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design Team, replaced the traditional double R-R for the first time since the company started in 1904.
Sorry, but I don't think that's right. The only time a Rolls-Royce can be seen with no RR badge is when it has winged B on it.
The other emblems I'm okay with but not the grille.
Here are the front wing emblems (the same as the grille) :
The steering wheel (showing the Torch) :
And the wheel centre caps with "London 2012" and the Olympic Latin motto - "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Faster, Higher, Stronger) :
Very cool.
But at first glance, what is actually The Spirit of Ecstasy and The Union Jack on the badge looks like something else....
Bloody Hell!
Someone made a 'cock up'. Or is it just a RRooster.
Anyway, a good job otherwise and a great part of the show - my favourite.
Now as for the Spice Girls...
"TAXI!"
