The First Bentley engine and the 1200th Bentley Spotting Post
This is the 1200th Bentley Spotting post. Achieved in 5 1/2 years.
A big thank you to fellow Team Bentleyspotting members David and Andy, as well as Don and Rodd for constantly contributing.
And to everyone else who contributes and emails and reads because they like it, thank you too.
This week I also became a member of the Rolls-Royce Owners Club of Australia.
I plan to spend more time interacting with other enthusiasts and owners in the real world, not just from behind a computer.
So what to post for the 1200th Bentley Spotting post?
How about the engine that started it all.
In October 1919 at W.O. Bentley’s service shop in New Street Mews, the very first Bentley engine started up, the awesome 3-litre.
Here it is.
And what's a super rare car that would fit the 1200th post?
How about this Bentley Camargue experimental car, sporting 1200TU number plates.
Quite appropriate.
Much more Bentley Spotting to come in the future as always.
