Sultan of Brunei's Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II Touring Limousine

Here is a very nice Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II Touring Limousine.

Easy to work out who owns it, considering it has the Brunei flag flapping.

Anyone know much about this number plate? I am presuming its a diplomatic plate.

I have to say that is profile of limousine is so much better than just stretching the middle out.

It is just so well proportioned.

it is a standard UK diplomatic number plate, they take the format of 123 D 123 or 123 X 123 the D is for diplomatic cars and X for consulate cars. The first 3 digits are code for the embassy it is from 294 is for Brunei!

There's just something very chic about the touring configuration...

The internal configuration looks quite different to the 'standard' (if that word can be used here!) Touring limousine, as the second photo appears to show someone sitting forward-facing on the right hand side in the second window, suggesting three rows of forward-facing seats (perhaps the middle row fold up from the floor?) rather than the rear-facing jump seat behind the partition.

If designing a car as wonderful as this now based on, for example, the Mulsanne, I imagine one could do away with the central media cabinet that housed the TV/audio equipment in these early 90s cars and put the cocktail cabinet in the central position, allowing for two rear-facing jump seats. At least, that's how I'll be ordering mine when the lottery win comes in...
