Hmmmm.
Stretching a reasonably modern Rolls-Royce can be a bit daunting.
This is a car for sale in Toronto. Obviously not a factory job but not a bad job.
They did go to great effort to match the interior wood & leather, wool headliner and the exterior roof's Everflex.
But this car just doesn't suit the look.
Maybe it needs the higher roof like the Mulliner Park Ward Silver Spur.
Now that version is just perfect.
Note that the Mulliner Park Ward 'official' is stretched from the back - not the middle.
I want to see a Silver Shadow / Silver Wraith II stretched that way.
The end.
Now this is a modern Limousine.....

Love this site, I come back all the time to read your excellent and informative posts! You're so right that this is the only way to stretch an already large car and still create something beautifully proportionate and elegant. Does the rear seat being so recessed from the door aperture make entry/exit at all awkward? And do you know what the inner shut line within the boot lid is - some kind of spoiler, or access hatch? When I win the lottery, I'll be ordering a Mulsanne stretched like this. But not with the new grill/bumper apertures, it's bloody awful...
