From The Classifieds has been monitoring the ads for interesting cars while on vacation for the past few weeks.
And among them is the cars to draw attention is this 2000 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible, one of 374 cars and the last of the Crewe designed and built Rolls-Royce, being based on the Bentley Azure platform with the 6750cc, V8 with low pressure turbo motor:
It's being offered by Silverstone Auctions at "The May Sale" on 24th May at the Silverstone race circuit at a guide price of GBP 95,000-105,000.
What makes it particularly special is that it's chassis number #XCH68001 and the first of the series. It was originally owned by Rolls-Royce Motors and featured in marketing materials as well as many promotional events.
Here are a few pages from the Corniche brochure:
Its second owner purchased it from Michael Powles of Leicester in 2001 and it has a full service history, the last service in May 2013 by Hillier Hill, a respected marque specialist.
It has completed 24,926 miles, with less than 4,000 miles covered in the past six years.
Despite its low mileage, flickr user kenjonbro, Team Bentley Spotting's favourite car photographer, has snapped some great shots of it in use.
Here it is amongst the London traffic:
Not to be missed if you want to own the first of the last.
Credit to Silverstone Auctions and kenjonbro for the photos.
