Update: Carrosserie Manessius

A few weeks ago Team Bentley Spotting posted about a 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Cabriolet by Manessius.

Here's a photo:

Chassis #59LC was offered at RM Auction's "Sporting Classics of Monaco" sale in May 2010 and the catalogue describes how, at an unknown date, it was modified with a fixed roof, then restored back to its original cabriolet design during restoration:

"The [early] history [of the car] is unknown, but later modifications included the fitting of a fixed roof. Completely restored between 1995 and 1998, 59LC was found to have the underpinnings of the originally-designated cabriolet body and was restored back to the original open design"

Well, Team Bentley Spotting now has a photo, dating from 1983, showing chassis #59LC on its arrival in Germany when it was still in its fixed roof form:

Its great to be able to compare both styles.

Many thanks (again) to Juergen for the latest photo.
