London, SW7

SW7 is the postcode for South Kensington in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.

It’s an affluent residential district and also popular with tourists visiting the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.

Here is is from above.

For car enthusiasts, the mews garages of SW7 have traditionally been known for their top-end vintage cars specialists.

And a few, such as Gregor Fisken and Peter Bradfield can still be found there.

But others, including Coys Ltd, have relocated to find bigger premises, while many others such as C.A.R. Howard, Dan Margulies and Porters In Kensington have disappeared into the mists of time.

What is great is that we have a stock list for Porters in Kensington of 11-14 Atherstone Mews, South Kensington, London SW7 5BX.

Here it is.

And what an impressive stock list! An Alfa-Romeo 6C 1750 Zagato, a Ferrari 400 Superamerica, Mercedes 300SL Gullwing and an Aston Martin DB4 Volante to name just a few…

Here is Atherstone Mews, South Kensington today. Porters in Kensington is long gone.
