On Wednesday 8th October, H&H Classic Auctions is offering a 1979 Rolls-Royce Corniche Saloon, chassis #CRH35145, at its sale at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambridge.
First registered on 16th March 1979, #CRH35145 is described as having metallic black coachwork complimented by a dark brown leather interior piped in magnolia.
It has completed an indicated 129,000 miles from new.
What makes this car unusual is that it has been fitted with a Mulsanne Turbo engine, #08190, dating from 1984.
It's an interesting conversion as Rolls-Royce Motors itself subsequently offered a model run-out turbocharged edition limited to just 25 examples.
And none other than Michael Jackson is reported to have owned a similar car: http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2011/04/rolls-royce-turbo-corniche.html
This example is estimated at GBP22,000-26,000 – let us know if you buy it!
