Royal Privates....

Limo Bob's a funny guy, so I want to think he's not serious on this one....

It's a very special Silver Shadow.
A 1958 - funny, they officially came out in '66... Must be a prototype. Looks a bit like an LWB Silver Cloud. I guess they all did back then.

Here's the Ebay ad with a few Italic comments from myself D.I.)

"1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

Formally owned by the Royal Family Collectors Dream all documentation ~ $34,900

Rare, Royal Rolls Royce Limo, Limousine, Specialty Car"

(I think this may be a 'Photoshop'.. - D.I.)

"Greatest collectors items ever on Ebay. ~ A 1958 Royal Rolls Royce made for the Royal Family & a Rare 1957 Chevy Limousine as seen all over TV. ~ It was just on Brides of Beverly Hills featuring Limo Bob and his Beautiful Bride to be Ms. Christi."

***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
"Now for the ROLLS! (History)
THIS IS THE REGISTRATION FOR 58 ROLLS
NOTE NAME ON REG PRIVATE ROLLS ROYCE

THE ONLY PART OF MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION THAT IS PRIVATE IS THE MONARCHY THE ROYAL FAMILY"

(Funny, my Dad's car said PRIVATE on the tax disc - maybe the Queen owned it too... - D.I.)

"HAVE A BUNCH MORE INCLUDING LETTER FROM JACK BARKLEY LIMTED THE ORIGINAL DEALER IN LONDON STATING ALL INFORMATION ON THIS VEHICAL IS CONFIDENTIAL

(Thanks Bob- D.I.)

Now here's my two cents' worth:

Sorry Bob, but Jack Barclay in Berkeley Square actually died in July 1968. This meeting may have only be a dream or you met the janitor.

As for the Beefeaters:

A 'Photoshop' by Team Bentley Spotting:

Here, for the record are some typical 'Private' - as in private car, not a commercial vehicle tax discs:

The Royal Family had some nice Triumphs and Austins.

I think the 'Beafeater' at the door was a retired Military doorman sporting his medals - as I do recall seeing these Gentlemen when I visited Jack Barclays in the seventies..
I understand it's a nice gin too by the way.

Good story Bob. Please take this in good humour.
Enid Blyton couldn't have done better.
I hope the buyer has a good sense of humour too.

Bob's last words in the ad:

"As seen on the Brides of Beverly Hills, Limo Bob and his wife to be, arrived at the Bridal shop in separate limos, Limo Bob & Tank arrived in the 1957 Chevy with all the Flames and toys, and Christi arrived in the Royal Families Rolls.
The 1958 Royal Rolls was in Las Vegas auction and we were Looking to get $250.000.00 for it.
Now we must make room for our all new 2013 of builds, and exotics, and long limos. "

My last word:
"Bloody 'ell...."

Bloody 'ell is right! Limo Bob, apart from being fairly illiterate, lends new meaning to the word "obtuse" ... I'd trust him as far as I could throw the Rolls.

Can Limo Bob explain, amongst some of his other outrageous claims, why a Royal family Rolls-Royce would be bought by a chemical company? Or does he believe this because its called the "Imperial" Chemical company?

What a D#@^head!
