This car was parked in front of the old Kenneth Cole Shoe store on the Sunset Strip for a few years. It had a "For Sale" sign in the window.
In 2008, I went to go look at the car with the intent to buy if the price was right. I had a bunch of British cars and thought it would be kind of cool to add to the collection. When I asked the person consigned to sell the car how much they were asking, he told me $100k because it was a "rare factory" turbo originally owned by Michael Jackson. I was expecting a price of $35-$40k tops before I knew about Jacko's ownership. If I remember correctly, he had some paperwork to prove ownership by Michael. I'm sure the value shot up tremendously after his death in 2009.
