Bentley Mulsanne Turbo by Hooper

How here is something a little special.

Take a look at that air damn. That's not from Crewe.

It is a 1983 Bentley Mulsanne Turbo by Hooper. Sporting subtle bonnet scoops.

Yep it is the Bentley that bought back the blower and increased the power of the previous years Mulsanne by 50% thanks to the Garrett AiResearch turbocharger.

Broadcaster and journalist Alan Whicker CBE was the original owner and commissioned Hooper & Co. (Coachbuilders) to make him one special car, to his own specifications of course.

The colour is metallic deep mink/mushroom and the interior is quite nice.

The wood is something unique. Red wood. That's rights, curtsey of Hooper, the wood is stained red.

That steering wheel is special.

The red wood does match the piping.

Here are a couple of docs explaining some of the enhancements.

The car is currently for sale on ebay UK here.

It would certainly make for an interesting and unique purchase.

Thanks Andy for the tip.
